Microbit shows off the much-anticipated Whatsminer M60 series at Blockchain Life 2023 in Dubai

The WhatsMiner M60 Series is the latest generation of Bitcoin mining rigs from industry leader MicroBT.

MicroBT, a prominent Bitcoin mining gear company, made an announcement at the Blockchain Life 2023 event in Dubai that set a new standard for hash efficiency in the market. The company showcased their Whatsminer M60 series of mining rigs, which features hydro, immersion, and air-cooling options.

Theoretically, the Bitcoin network's hashrate will increase significantly after the release of MicroBT's new line of Bitcoin miners, which boasts exceptional specifications and industry-leading energy efficiency. Powerful and energy-efficient mining equipment is a must for today's miners to keep up with the industry's rapid technological advancements. Also, a mining farm in Texas, in the middle of summer, faces a different set of challenges when it comes to heat management than one in Iceland, where reducing the ambient temperature is free. Newer models of WhatsMiner, with their flexible cooling options, make great strides in meeting the needs of these varied endeavors.

Both the WhatsMiner M66S and the WhatsMiner M66 feature immersion cooling, with the former boasting hashrates between 298 and 270 TH/s and the latter between 276 and 240 TH/s. Ratings of 18.5 J/T and 19.9 J/T for energy efficiency are both quite high. This allows miners to significantly increase their hashing capacity while also decreasing their energy expenses by employing these rigs. As a result, mining operations can become more efficient and cost-effective.

The WhatsMiner M63S and WhatsMiner M63, both of which use hydro-cooling, are designed to provide even greater hashrates, respectively 390TH/s to 360TH/s and 366TH/s to 334TH/s. The excellent balance of hash rate to energy consumption is shown in the energy efficiency scores of 18.5 J/H and 19.9 J/T.

If you're a miner looking for an air-cooling option, the WhatsMiner M60S and WhatsMiner M60 models provide hashrates of 186Th/s to 170Th/s and 172Th/s to 150Th/s, respectively. These types, with ratings of 18.5 J/T and 19.9 J/T for energy efficiency, are great alternatives to liquid cooling in situations where the latter is impractical. They support more types of mining operations, even those in areas with less advanced cooling infrastructure.

The M60 series' performance hardware allows miners to maximize their output even when working in temperatures as high as 80 degrees Celsius. Investors from institutional entities will be more likely to work with miners who adhere to ESG financial mandates.

Challenges in energy generation and distribution are the focus of this series, which aims to help utilities meet stringent grid management standards like those mandated by the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) in Texas. Rapid PSU power management within the M60 series is expected to play a crucial role in preventing the grid from becoming overloaded as a result of the increased hashrate being generated by these incredibly productive MicroBT miners.
